Who I am

A specialist who joins up health, change and process

Wellspring Consultancy is my practice. I'm a specialist in occupational health, sickness absence management and workforce transformation. My work combines three things that are usually kept apart: case management, organisational change and process improvement. Long-term absence sits exactly where those three meet — which is why treating them separately so rarely works.

I work with leaders, HR teams and managers to identify root causes, strengthen accountability and create sustainable solutions. My approach is deliberately practical: early intervention, operational excellence and real implementation — not another policy that sits in a drawer.

How I work

Three principles behind every engagement

01

Early intervention

The earlier a case is caught and given structure, the better the outcome and the lower the cost. Most of the value is in acting before problems become entrenched.

02

Operational excellence

Good intentions need good systems. Clear processes, ownership and reporting are what make improvements consistent and repeatable rather than one-off.

03

Practical implementation

Strategy only counts when it's implemented. I focus on solutions managers can actually run, and hand them over to work without me.

What I focus on

Root causes, accountability, sustainable solutions

My focus is on identifying the root causes of absence and disengagement, strengthening accountability across leaders, HR and managers, and putting solutions in place that last. That means looking past the symptoms to the management capability, process gaps and change pressures that actually drive the numbers.

  • Root-cause focus — diagnosing the real drivers before recommending anything
  • Accountability — clear, fair ownership across the whole people system
  • Sustainability — solutions designed to run long after the engagement ends
In short
I build people processes that support employees and business performance at the same time because the two were never really in conflict.
